French artist Amelie Chabannes is primarily concerned with the notion of identity. Through her drawings, paintings, video, and sculptures, she explores both the physical and psychological aspects of the self. With a background that extends from fine art to architecture, she uses unique materials and unexpected metaphors to challenge our current views of identity.
Amelie Chabannes is a graduate of Ecole Nationale Superieure Des Arts Decoratifs in Paris. She currently lives and works in New York City. She has shown at Stephan Stoyanov Gallery (NYC), Galerie Hussenot at The Armory Show (NYC), White Box (NYC), Luxe Gallery (NYC), La Fiac (Paris), Galerie SE (Norway) and Art Brussels. Her work is part of the Progressive Collection and private collections in the United States, Europe and Asia.
