Anthropometric Self-Portrait is an edition by Amelie Chabannes exclusively on ArtWeLove. Chabannes’s edition illustrates two sides to identity. The term “anthropometric” refers to the study of the measurements and proportions of the human body, or the physical side to identity. Amelie shows this relationship by correlating the size of the hand to various points on the face. Balancing the physical with the abstract, psychological aspect of identity, Chabannes creates a shifting collage of layers composed from her own childhood drawings, pigments, and lines. Watch our short segment interview with Amelie to learn more.
