More on framing recommendationsAbout this Edition
Petal, Pixel and Stain is an edition by Nina Tichava exclusively on ArtWeLove. Furthering her study of pattern and order, Nina creates balance within her picture plane through tightly woven contrasts between dots, color, pattern, and line. The hues and motifs conjure feelings of calm Spring afternoons, overgrown meadows, and golden sunset horizons.

Painter Nina Tichava utilizes techniques found in screen printing, wood block printing, and etching to create densely layered patterns of dots, circles, and abstractions. Nina visualizes her interest in what she calls “the history of surface” through highly textural materials such as cooper, resin, and brass.
