Scarab & Sun is an edition by Sarah Rifaat exclusively on ArtWeLove. In ancient Egyptian culture, the Scarab, a beetle-like insect, was associated with rebirth and often illustrated as holding up the sun. This image reminds us of the important role that both symbols play in Egyptian history and that the Sun is the most abundant source of energy. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this edition will go to 350.org.
