Born in Italy, Brooklyn-based artist Luisa Rabbia frequently draws inspiration from her daily life to create reflections on time, life, and the human body. Rabbia's meditative works provoke the viewer to contemplate presence and absence through video, porcelain and paper-mache sculpture, ink, acrylic pigment, and pencil drawings.

Luisa Rabbia received a master's degree from Accademia Albertina di Belle Arti, Torino, Italy, in 1992. She has completed artist-in-residency programs at the International Studio & Curatorial Program (New York), Artomi, NY, and the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum (Boston, Massachusetts). Rabbia has been featured in exhibitions at Massimo Audiello Gallery (New York), Galleria Giorgio Persano (Torino), Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum (Boston, MA), Fondazione Merz (Torino), Fondazione Querini Stampalia (Venice) and Fundación PROA (Buenos Aires). Her works are part of permanent installations in Italy (S. Gimignano, Naples) and Cologny, Geneva, Switzerland as well as part of the permanent collection of the Gallery of Modern Art (Torino).
