The Museum Of Contemporary Art (MOCA) Cleveland is a contemporary art museum located in Cleveland, Ohio. Founded in 1968 as The New Gallery and renamed the Cleveland Center for Contemporary Art in 1984, the museum took on a larger, 20,000 square foot space, donned its current name in 2002, and continues to evolve in exciting new ways - producing original exhibitions. MOCA Cleveland houses works by top contemporary artists such as Andy Warhol, Christo, and Claes Oldenburg.
With a career that spans 20 years, Swiss artist Michel Huelin is amongst the most prolific living artists in Switzerland today. His ability to rapidly evolve and to translate his vision across multiple media has earned him well-deserved respect amongst art professionals. A painter by training, Huelin's latest work is digital, utilizing videos and inkjet prints. An artist who has also studied biology, his digital brushstrokes plunge the viewer into a virtual world of hybrid objects, both real and surreal, creating a sort of vegetation that the artist refers to as ‘phenotypic variations’.
Huelin’s previous exhibitions include: "Floating Device", Museum of Contemporary Art, Cleveland (2008); Zürcher Studio, New York and Galerie Zürcher; Paris (2008); Galerie Blancpain Art Contemporain, Geneva (2007); "Xenobiosis", Abbatiale de Bellelay (2006); "Karina Bisch - Michel Huelin", Ecole Municipale des Beaux-Arts, Châteauroux (2005).
